Yarn
Sample was made using the following amounts of Lion Brand Comfy Cotton yarn (given as XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL):
Meters: 914; 1,005; 1,050; 1,140; 1,400; 1,500; 1,600; 1,870; 1,970
Yards: 1,000; 1,100; 1,150; 1,250; 1,550; 1,650; 1,750; 2,050; 2,150
Comfy Cotton is a DK/sport weight (3) yarn that contains 358 meters (392 yards) per 200 grams (7 oz).
Lion Brand Comfy Cotton Blend yarn was a beloved choice for lightweight garments and accessories, but unfortunately, it has been discontinued. This yarn was known for its soft, breathable texture, made from a 50% cotton, 50% polyester blend, which gave it a perfect balance of durability and drape. It had a lightweight (Category 3) gauge, a gentle heathered effect, and a cozy feel that made it ideal for sweaters, shawls, and summer tops.
Here are some alternatives:
Berroco Remix Light - a cotton-blend yarn with a soft, eco-friendly texture
Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK - has a smooth, 100% cotton option with excellent stitch definition
Premier Cotton Fair - a cotton-acrylic blend with a similar drape and breathability to Lion Brand Comfy Cotton
